Apabila peminat Arsenal berbicara

Hehe.

WENGER MUST GO IF HE IS NOT LEARNING FROM HIS GAMES.

Arsene Wenger did not win a single game against Mourinho for 11 times.

From the starting lineup, we could see that Wenger intended to repeat the history at White Hart Lane a week ago. Score a goal first and stay back at our own half for the rest of the game and win the match. Yet he overlooked the difference between Spurs and Chelsea, a team with Matic and David Luiz as their defensive midfielders to protect their centre-backs.

Ever since the departure of Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva, we have been lacking a powerhouse in the midfield. Meanwhile, whenever Chelsea played Lampard and Essien, they still managed to triumph our midfield at their own wills. And not to mention how Drogba scored again and again easily when Senderos tried to stop him. If they played Drogba, we need to play Sol Campbell. It's just as simple as that but Wenger never learnt.

I am not saying that we must find a player who is as good as Vieira was, as we could see that the partnership between Fabregas and Flamini was once brilliant. But even Fabregas had to to defend for the team. And we must not forget in 2007-2008 we also had Rosicky to dive in for tackles as well. Although we still have Rosicky, but he is much older now and we cannot expect him to play like 6 years ago.

Jose Mourinho is a specialist in counterattacks and we all know about that. Without the likes of Thierry Henry (or any other dummy runners), a team which is obsessed with possession like Arsenal is the exact team Mourinho wants to play with. Although we can say that we have lost Walcott due to injuries, but then how come we don't have other dummy runners who can tear up the opponent's defence on quick counter attack?

This is not La Liga. This is the Premier League, where physical contest in the midfield is very important to win a game. With no doubt, Ozil and Carzola are great technical players, yet they still need an excellent defensive support in order to focus on their attacking job. Arteta is a great player, but physically he is not the type of defensive midfield we need. He might act as the Xabi Alonso of Arsenal, but then we lack a Kheidira in this game, in which we should have used Flamini to do the dirty job in the midfield.

Arseanl might want to play the Barcelona-way but this is not possible. We lack a good finisher like Messi, who is a dummy runner at the same time. It is clear that we need a good finisher who is also a fast runner, like Thierry Henry and Messi, or maybe Suarez or even Sturridge. There's no point to let our midfielders to pass the ball again and again in the midfield without any pin-point pass to opponent's six-yard box. Recently the form of Mesut Ozil has been criticised heavily. Actually I don't blame him because he has no one to pass the ball to. Ramsey is injured. Walcott is injured. Giroud is a poor finisher and he does not have the pace to scare any world-class defenders. In Real Madrid, Ozil could pass the ball to either Cristiano Ronaldo or Benzema, in which case both of them are good sprinters.

Although Ozil claimed that there's much more space to attack in the Premier League compared to La Liga, we might have overlooked the difference in tactics between Wenger's Arsenal and Mourinho's Real Madrid. The Real Madrid under Mourinho used to play some very direct and effective counterattacks, Ozil were actually given much more space to dribble or pass the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo. At Arsenal, Ozil is often required to hold up to the ball and try to dribble pass defenders on his own. I do not expect a world-class player to dribble pass the whole opponent's team every game.

Arsene must learn to lead Arsenal to play in different ways. In the good old days, we scored a lot of great goals from counterattack. Although it would be perfect if we can see Wilshere's goal against Norwich (or Rosicky's goal against Sunderland), this could not be done against every opponent we play for sure.

In my humble opinion, Wenger must learn from his games. To be honest, the game has passed him by if he is still stubborn to play the Barcelona football in PL. If he is not willing to do so, it's better for him to leave Arsenal. With a fairly good squad like this, I am sure other world-class head coaches like van Gaal or Jurgen Klopp would be very happy to take charge of the team.

Faham tak? Hehe. Jadi sebagai seorang peminat Arsenal, admin syorkan supaya Arsenal tukar corak permainan dan cuba mencari Defensive Midfielder sejati. Itu saja yang admin rasa perlu buat masa ini.
